Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. Amy Smart, born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her acting career began in the year 1996, when she appeared in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It was a long road for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller role. Amy was unable to make the transition from modeling to acting because model actors aren't generally considered good actors. Models are often only given minor and unimportant parts. Yet, somehow Amy did not give up and began to take on more prestigious roles. It all started with the show The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. Amy was then promoted to lead roles in 2005's romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than ten years of trying.
